Workshop Overview
Assertiveness is all about the ability to get more of what you want and is often
confused with aggression. It is a key skill to use when handling difficult situations;
whether they are unexpected or planned for. Though some people are naturally assertive,
for the majority of us it is a skill that needs to be learned and developed. This
workshop will help delegates to increase their assertiveness and develop several
assertiveness techniques, which will help them deal with a wide variety of difficult
situations, from anxious, angry parents to bank managers!
Workshop Objectives
As a result of attending the above workshop delegates will:-
- Be able to identify passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour
- Understand the importance of assertive communication and how this is best achieved.
- Have identified their own personal communication style and be able to recognise
the styles of others
- Have learned several assertiveness techniques to use when faced with difficult
situations
- Have increased their self-confidence by understanding and developing the skills
required to behave assertively
Who should attend?
This workshop will be of benefit to anyone who feels they are not achieving the results
